Lionshead

Lionshead is a mix of condominiums and commercial businesses at the foot of the western side of Vail Mountain. Convenient shopping and dining, as well as an exciting apres` ski atmosphere are notable highlights in this charming ski community. The new Eagle Bahn gondola, in the heart of Lionshead, takes visitors to the top of the mountain in approximately 8 minutes. It is an easy walk to the Dobson Ice Arena for ice skating or special events and the Vail Library is just across the street. Free bus service is provided to visitors for quick access to the center of Vail Village. With the "dawn" of the New Vail, Lionshead is soon to become just as formidable of a village skiing center as Vail Village.
