It's been another huge success at the Vail America Days 4th of July festivities and and I am so thankful to have been able to return to my hometown to celebrate. Years of celebrating the 4th of July on the beaches of California, on the Mississippi in Wisconsin and this year I realized that you just can't top the 4th of July in the Rockies. The small town feel, the beautiful setting, the local shops and charming atmosphere have fused the 4th of July and Vail together in my mind. After being away for the last few years, I was ecstatic to witness the unbelievable Salute to the USA in Avon, Colorado's biggest fireworks show.
"Why not celebrate the birth of American in one of the finest locations in the United States? Every city and town has their special celebrations, but Vail America Days can outdo them all. The celebration starts with a red, white, and blue parade that starts in Golden Peak at 10 AM., winds through Vail Village and ends in Lionshead at approximately noon. That is followed by entertainment in Vail Village and Lionshead from Noon to 3 PM and a patriotic concert at 2 PM at the Ford Amphitheatre. Top the celebration off by viewing the fabulous Vail America Days fireworks which take place at Golden Peak at approximately 9:30 PM."
